Conservation Purposes:  To conserve and protect wildlife habitats, natural communities, forestry values, scenic resources, and non-commercial, non-motorized recreational opportunities of the protected property for present and future generations.

Property Description:  The property consists of 25.6 acres of prime forested recreation land adjacent to the SLT conserved Stancliff parcel and the 1600 Town owned Sterling Forest.  The northeast corner of the property contains the entrance to the Old Billings Road - a trail that connects Maple Run Lane to the Catamount Trail.  The Old Billings Road has several singletrack spur trails that meander throughout the property.  There is also a popular well-used mountain bike trail on the property known as Godstreet, which leaves the Old Billings Road to the south.  From Godstreet, a second trail known as Kent's trail departs to the southeast.

Public Access:  Maple Run is open to the public for year round non-motorized, non-commercial recreation and can be accessed via Maple Run Lane in Sterling Valley.  There is no designated parking area so please be respectful of the neighbors when parking to the side of the road.

Directions:  From the intersection of Route 100 and Route 108 in Stowe, travel north on Route 100 for .8 miles and turn left onto West Hill Road.  Travel 2.2 miles and continue on West Hill at the sharp right turn where West Hill merges with Percy Hill Road.  Continue on West Hill Road for another 1.1 miles to a left hand turn at Maple Run Lane.  Continue straight on Maple Run Lane for 1 mile.  Park in pull off on the left beyond the private driveway.  Proceed on foot for 1/2 mile to the junction with Old Billings Road which marks the northeast corner of the property.
