Guided Hike Series #4: Reading Forests for Signs of Wildlife at the Mill Trail

Saturday, February 14, 2026
11 AM – 12:30 PM

Join Stowe Land Trust's very own certified wildlife biologist, Tom Rogers, for a winter hike and animal tracking adventure! Explore the Mill Trail and Bingham Falls, while learning how to spot signs of black bear, snowshoe hare, birds, and other species that call this property home. The Mill Trail's river habitat and mixed hardwood and softwood forest provide great habitat for a variety of wildlife species, so be on the lookout for tracks, trails, and other signs of animal activity along the way.

Come hike and hone your wildlife identification skills! Make sure to wear boots, gloves, hats, and other winter gear to stay warm while we identify animal tracks found along the Mill Trail & at Bingham Falls!

Can’t join us this time? No worries!  Stay tuned for upcoming hikes and more opportunities to get outside and explore Stowe with us.
