Save the date! We hope you'll join us on Friday, August 25 for a celebration of all our wonderful volunteers. If you've donated some of your valuable time to serving SLT and helping care for our conserved lands, we want to thank and recognize you! Expect refreshments, comradery, and fun to all be part of the plan.
We are excited to host Ari Rockland-Miller of the Mushroom Forager on a guided foray at Wiessner Woods. Together we'll explore the property in new way, with a focus on gourmet and medicinal mushrooms, and covering topics including safety, strategy, identification, sustainability and ethics. All participants will receive a seasonal ForgageCast handouts highlighting gourmet mushrooms in season during the month of August.
Afterward, we'll enjoy some light refreshments at the trailhead.
