Mill Trail Open Houses

I will be hosting Open Houses at the <link conserved properties milltrail>Mill Trail Property this summer! 

 Time: 10 AM - 2 PM

Dates and activities:

- Saturday, May 25th: Visitors will learn about the history of the Mill Trail Property, and participate in a nature walk where you will be introduced to some species of trees and birds.

- Saturday, June 22nd: Create art by using nature! Visitors will learn about the history of the Mill Trail Property and about the land’s use. Families can learn about plant identification, make botanical art, and be able to press and preserve their plant findings! 

- Saturday, July 13th: Let’s explore the forest floor! Visitors will learn about the history of the Mill Trail Property and about the land’s use. Families can participate in forest floor exploration as we examine and identify creatures of the Mill Trail!

- Saturday, August 24th: Explore the cool water of near the cabin during a hot summer day! Visitors will learn about the history of the Mill Trail Property and about the land’s use. Families can participate in a stream scavenger hunt down by the water. Come meet some freshwater invertebrates and other critters! 

- Saturday, September 21st: Pollinators and Wildflowers!? Visitors will learn about the history of the Mill Trail Property and about the land's use. Families can participate in making wildflower seed bombs that can be released in the Spring!

 

In addition to these activities, there will also be a ton of other games, coloring sheets, and puzzles to choose from.

 

All Open House events are free, open to the public, and family friendly! We hope to see you there!
