Thank you to everybody who sent in a tree for the Big Tree Hunt! We had a tight competition for 1st, 2nd and 3rd largest trees (by circumference) in Stowe and it was a joy to watch the submissions roll in over the last few weeks.
Thank you to the Stowe Conservation Commission for sponsoring this contest and providing the awesome prizes. Winners received a native Vermont sapling to plan in their yard, plush birds with accurate markings and song of a variety of Vermont birds, SLT compass keychains, and an educational tree related book or game.
