SHWC Partnership receives Conservationist of the Year Award

Representatives from the Shutesville Hill Wildlife Corridor Partnership were presented with the Conservationist of the Year award at Stowe's annual town meeting on March 3, 2020.

At Stowe's 223rd Town Meeting on March 3rd, Christine McGowan, vice chair of the Stowe Conservation Commission, presented the 2020 Stowe Conservationist of the Year award to members of the Shutesville Hill Wildlife Corridor Partnership.

The partnership consists of the conservation commissions of Waterbury and Stowe, Stowe Land Trust, Vermont Land Trust, The Nature Conservancy, and the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources.

The Shutesville Hill Wildlife Corridor Partnership is working to keep this critical wildlife corridor open and safe so Vermont wildlife can thrive, now and into the future.The group is raising awareness about the corridor and working on efforts to protect it in collaboration with interested landowners and local communities.
