Phil Branton at Wiessner Woods

Congratulations to Phil Branton for being named Stowe Land Trust’s Volunteer of the Year for 2015! Phil has been the volunteer Land Steward for Wiessner and Kirchner Woods since 2010 where he has spent many hours maintaining trails, checking boundaries, talking with visitors, and helping out with any stewardship task that needs doing no matter how small or dirty.  Cheerful, inquisitive, and dedicated, Phil shows his commitment to Stowe and Stowe Land Trust by devoting time to checking in on his properties each time he come up from DC for a visit.  You might see him - clippers or hammer in hand - sporting his bright orange forestry vest and SLT hat out on the trails.  If you do, be sure to thank him for his great work!
