Stowe Land Trust's Annual Golf Tournament, hosted by Lee and Alice Spencer, was held August 5th and raised $40,000 for conservation and stewardship work in our community. Thank you to our sponsors, business supporters, volunteers and participants -- your support makes it all possible!
The Golf Tournament, held every year in August at the West Hill Golf Course in Stowe, gives our members and supporters a unique opportunity to play on a spectacular private golf course while helping Stowe Land Trust protect Stowe's natural beauty.
The West Hill Golf Course is a picturesque and challenging nine hole, 3,255-yard, par 36 course. At the Calcutta Social, teams were auctioned off during an entertaining evening at von Trapp Bierhall & Brewery. The following day, participants played in teams of four in a scramble format. The tournament was followed by an awards ceremony and cocktail reception at the clubhouse where Lee Spencer honored friends of Stowe Land Trust and champions of conservation who recently passed away, Jack Patten and Gaetano Vicinelli.
