We are pleased to announce Brenna Toman as our new Stewardship and Outreach Assistant. As an AmeriCorps member, Brenna will be coordinating the Summer Naturalist Program, as well as organizing volunteer stewardship events across Stowe Land Trust properties.

Based at the Mill Trail, the Summer Naturalist Program is in its fourth year. The program provides learning opportunities – especially for children – that inspire local citizens to engage with their natural world and foster a life-long love and appreciation for the land. Outreach and programming help people to relate to Stowe Land Trust’s conservation mission.

Since 1987, SLT has conserved nearly 3,500 acres of land in Stowe, Waterbury and Morrisville, including five properties that SLT owns and manages for recreation. Permanently protected land must be maintained to enhance its community and ecological values. Stewardship projects, including trail maintenance, invasive removal, and restoration of riparian habitats help preserve the high quality recreation, wildlife habitat, and scenic views that define Stowe.
