SLT Turns 30!

Then: Building a strong foundation for lasting community conservation.

Now: Still stewardship strong & cultivating the next generation of conservationists.

2017 marks Stowe Land Trust’s 30th anniversary!  Our land conservation efforts started with a few community members gathering together to protect the Mayo Farm in 1987. Over the decades since then, SLT has blossomed into an enduring and trusted organization with deep community roots, a dedicated board of 22, and a professional staff.  

Our members and supporters have helped grow the organization into one that oversees 3,500 acres of protected land and engages a broad range of community members of all ages in hands-on stewardship work each year.  We also continue to help landowners protect additional productive farm and forest lands that are important to the Stowe community.
